[Picture of Olivia at Greenview Fun day]Today was Greenview’s Fun Day, so we toddled along like loads of other locals to see what was going on.  We met loads of my playgroup mums there, and it was such a shame that the weather let us all down.

Another dreary day in Glasgow.  Call this a summer?

We had to confine ourselves to the indoor activities, so Olivia got her face painted (a butterfly — again), and then her nails done.  David Paul strolled about while we had coffee and chats, then they played on the indoor bouncy castle.

The poor clown was stuck on the porch, and the “free ice cream” didn’t seem quite as attractive as it ought to have been, but the people made it work; everyone was great, and so we had loads of fun. It’s all part of being in such a close-knit community I suppose.

They even had a sort of “zoo” upstairs, with slugs and spiders.  Olivia made some badges and even painted on a small canvas (she did the butterfly).  We walked home and didn’t get too wet. Mumsie popped over for coffee and it turned into dinner.  She helped us bathe the kids and put them to bed.

So this is summer.  At least we’re trying to make the best of it!
