Because she was so helpful last year, the whole family decided that Oli would be in charge of the Christmas Tree Decorations for 2008. We HAD to do it all so early this year because Oli was going on and on about it! LOL. Hey – why not? After all it’s all about kids.
Well, she was so excited that we were finally doing it, and at first she told us what to do and we did it, but then we relaxed and let her get on with hanging all the bits and bobs by herself. She was engrossed for hours!
It was great to sit back next to a roaring log fire with a glass of red (hey, this is now the established family tradition!). This allowed us to focus attention on DP for a wee change — although he did help Oli a bit. Or at least he tried (he loves to copy his big sister), but his idea of Christmas tree decoration is bits of broken toys and wrappers!
It’s still a wonderful life! Long may it continue — Happy Christmas when it comes everybody!
