Good Relationships 2006/12/31

I cannot sleep, and was surfing about when I randomly came across this post on good relationships at littlecloey.wordpress.com. I immediately felt guilty about not being in bed! My new year resolutions are stackin’ up! lol! Here’s the summary points:

  1. Go to bed at the same time.
  2. Cultivate common interests.
  3. Walk hand in hand or side by side.
  4. Make trust and forgiveness your default mode.
  5. Focus more on what your partner does right than what he or she does wrong.
  6. Hug each other as soon as you see each other after work.
  7. Say “I love you” and “Have a good day” every morning.
  8. Say “Good night” every night, regardless of how you feel.
  9. Do a “weather” check during the day with your partner.
  10. Be proud to be seen with your partner.

ahhhh, a lovely reminder of what we should be doing with our partners. Its amazing how many of those we don’t do regularly enough! Chris and I have always tried not to let the sun go down on our wrath and always say goodbye as though we won’t see each other for a long time but the bed thing is a hard one! During the hols Chris goes to bed early and gets up early whereas I go to bed late and get up late during the hols. When we are back at work it is vice versa, I go to bed early and rise early and Chris goes to bed late etc etc! I can only think of one solution… I give up work and go on permanent holiday mode, what do ya reckon?
