I love recipes that are one pot wonders! So quick and easy – and great for mid week evening meals, delicious. I got this recipe from a great book edited by Linda Fraser… called ‘Best-Ever Chicken‘ .


Frying Time: about 5 mins
Oven Time: about 45 mins

Aw man, can you believe this? What’s the world coming to? The national news media has been giving it to the government for losing two burned CDs containing unencrypted personal data for all seven and a half million families who get child benefit or family allowance. I scanned in the letter for public record.

It is the first time I have been to The City Halls and the Old Fruitmarket in Candleriggs in Glasgow’s Merchant City since it was refurbished last year, and I was impressed with the place — what a lovely venue its Grand Hall is — it seats just a little over a thousand, and Ruth and I did not see an empty seat. Beverley Knight at The ABC 2007/11/12

[Picture of Beverley Knight gig at Glasgow ABC]We have been looking forward to the concert tonight for ages (see earlier post: Up-Coming Fun! Sat, 4th Aug 2007), but being a Sunday — and with Joobes and Chris in town for the weekend, we had a very busy day, and were rushing about trying to get ready when Mumsie and Alan arrived to babysit.

You couldn’t miss the venue as it was like a tour bus showroom out on Sauchiehall St. The venue itself is in the roofspace of the old ABC cinema, and is similar if a little smaller than the Barrowlands — and like the Barras, I felt for the crew having to drag heavy equipment up and down stairs.
