I love coming across new recipes that are simple! We made these flat breads to go with the devine Rogan Josh and the devine Curry. A great alternative to rice or cous cous.
Prep Time: 5 mins to mix the dough;
Cooking Time: 15 mins;
Serves: 2-4.
Equipment:
- mixing bowl;
- rolling pin;
- frying pan;
- measuring spoons;
- scales.
Shopping list:
- 200g plain flour;
- 1tsp ground cumin;
- 1tsp ground coriander;
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon;
- pinch of salt;
- water to mix the dough.
method:
Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl and gradually add the water until a firm dough has formed using a wooden spoon. Divide the dough into 8 balls and roll out each one as thin as you can on a flour dusted counter top. Cook each flatbread in a very hot, dry, non stick pan for about 1 minute on each side, or until brown spots appear on both sides. Just omit the spices to make plain ones.
